We have here very valuable special guests of honor The Honorable Brad Redekopp, MP -Saskatoon West , Honourable Noor Burki , MLA Regina Coronation, Senos Timon , Councillor
Today, BCF celebratesInternational Mother Language Day, a day to recognize the importance of linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. As we honor the languages that shape our identities, we also acknowledge the rich tapestry of languages spoken in Canada.
As a nation, Canada is built on the principles of multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion. Our mother languages are a vital part of this diversity, and it’s essential that we preserve and promote them.
The Better Canada Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that foster linguistic and cultural diversity. We believe that language is a fundamental human right, and every individual should have the opportunity to learn, speak, and celebrate their mother language.
As we celebrate this special day, let’s also recognize the challenges faced by many language communities. We must work together to promote language preservation, education, and cultural exchange programs.
In conclusion, International Mother Language Day is a celebration of our diversity, our heritage, and our shared humanity. Let’s continue to promote linguistic and cultural diversity, and build a better Canada for all.”
This speech draws inspiration from UNESCO’s recognition of International Mother Language Day and the Canadian government’s acknowledgment of the importance of linguistic diversity.
Engr. Arifur Rahman, Founder of BCF has thanked all the participants and dignitaries attended there. All participants have highly appreciated the well organized impactful event.
